Assuming we can speak its language anyways, we may not be able to.

Then what do we do... Kill it, enslave it, sell it, or use it to guide us to that big thing so we can get owned.

OOC: Sorry KC, but you won't be getting on very long tonight because you are going to the rodeo.

So, you have managed to capture a goblin . No one in the group can speak goblin but you can still try and get your point across via intimidation, linguistics or torture. You managed to tie it up to a post in the center of town. It begins pleading in wild clicks and squeals and the occasional understandable words land phrases. From what you can gather it is terrified of something.

I grab my short sword and scratch out the image of a large creature holding a club in the cobblestone pathway.

He looks at the image and nods rapidly, still incoherently clicking squealing what sounds like pleas to be let free. "Pease No hurt Mink." It says in clumsy common.

Ok so I'm guessing his name is "Mink", He has told us all he knows, but the question is can he show us where we can find this beast?, and what the beast's name is? We Shouldn't let the townspeople kill him; he's valuable to us, we've spared his life he should be grateful enough to help us on our journeys.

Or at least to become our companion. We need as many members to our group as possible. Strength in numbers. @KC give me some money so i can go to the magic shop and purchase 1 healing potion so you can heal yourself and I'll buy 1 so i can heal the goblin. I have the discount so it will be cheaper.

@KC I will just go now, you can pay me back later. So I go to the magic shop and ask the man how much his healing potions are.

@CD they are 10g each and he only has two (they heal 1d8)
The goblin replies, "Mink run from beasty. Beasty no like de fire. Mink light fire so beasty go home." He says proudly.
